1. Purpose

This Live Tracking Policy explains how Culturei Deliveries provides delivery tracking through the platform and outlines the responsibilities of everyone using this feature.

Our objective is to improve delivery visibility, strengthen customer confidence and support safe, efficient and reliable deliveries across South Africa.

2. Live Tracking Service

Culturei Deliveries offers Live Tracking on eligible orders to allow customers to follow the progress of their deliveries from collection through to completion.

The service is designed to:

  • Improve delivery transparency.
  • Provide estimated delivery progress.
  • Reduce uncertainty during deliveries.
  • Improve communication between customers and delivery drivers.
  • Enhance the overall customer experience.

Live Tracking may not be available for every order, device or geographic location.

3. How Live Tracking Works

Once a restaurant accepts an order and an independent delivery driver is assigned, the platform begins sharing delivery progress with the customer.

Customers may view:

  • Driver assignment.
  • Order collection status.
  • Delivery progress.
  • Estimated arrival time.
  • Delivery completion.

Tracking automatically ends when the order has been successfully delivered or the delivery has otherwise been concluded.

4. Driver Responsibilities

Independent delivery drivers are expected to use Live Tracking responsibly while completing deliveries.

Drivers should:

  • Enable location services while actively delivering orders.
  • Maintain a reasonable internet connection where possible.
  • Follow safe and efficient delivery routes.
  • Comply with all applicable road traffic laws.
  • Avoid intentionally disabling location tracking during active deliveries unless necessary for safety or technical reasons.

Safety always takes priority over maintaining uninterrupted tracking.

5. Customer Responsibilities

Customers should use Live Tracking responsibly and only for monitoring their own deliveries.

Customers are expected to:

  • Provide accurate delivery information.
  • Remain available if contacted by the delivery driver.
  • Understand that estimated arrival times may change.
  • Respect the privacy and safety of delivery drivers.

Customers must not misuse tracking information to harass, threaten or interfere with delivery drivers.

6. Restaurant Responsibilities

Restaurant partners contribute to accurate Live Tracking by preparing orders promptly and updating order status without unnecessary delay.

Restaurant partners should:

  • Accept or decline orders promptly.
  • Prepare food within reasonable timeframes.
  • Mark orders as ready for collection accurately.
  • Notify Culturei Deliveries of significant preparation delays.

Accurate preparation information helps provide more reliable delivery estimates for customers.
